Sure enough, temperatures hit about a million degrees around here yesterday.
Among other things, I am seriously considering checking out
Gila Window Films,
a product to address this recommended by Enahs (there are just a few small
attic-type windows up here, but any little bit helps). Even then the AC up here will clearly remain a
few BTUs shy of what's required... at one point yesterday I started
seeing mirages.

about our election at the end of june, im voting independend, or green or something else other than the big 2 criminalsI'm leaning Green as well. They won't win, but I'll feel better about not directly putting Cons or Libs in power. Forget the NDP.
The problem, IMO, with the Greens is that they are too green... eg: they want to put another $0.10/L tax on gas, and shut down our CANDU reactors/stop producing them for export, even though they are easily the most safe nuclear reactors in the world. I'd be all for it if it weren't for the fact that there aren't any other sources of power production that perform at that level, which aren't more environmentally hazardous (their reason for wanting to shut them down).
On the other hand, they propose reducing the work week to 32 hours.
I don't see that happening, though._____________
