Just when I start thinking I don't have enough reasons to avoid Thief 3 like the plague a really hideous impossible to fix massive bug pops up. Thank you.

You sir are a moron to cheat yourself of another Thief game. Bug or no, Thief 3 was just that Thief 3, one of the best game experiences in a long while

I don't understand you. You're making yourself hate the game. I would have thought any self-respecting gamer would like to play a good game. Thief 3 is a good game. Great, even, regardless of the bug. You're really missing out.

The game is still great with the "problems" people mention. Obviously this bug a big problem, and the game would be much better with proper difficulty, but it's not something I noticed until it was pointed out to me.

Thief3's cradle level is the best level I have ever played in any game.

How about the bug where you can't configure the controls?

I installed the demo last week, and as usual before I start a new game, I go into the controls to configure my inputs. I can see a list of imports, but no way to change them.

I never did get to try the game, but I did see it on a friend's computer (he was able to configure his inputs). Another 3rd person console-esque game- I'll pass.

You know what I would love to see? For Blizzard to throw in a new character class, as a thank you for all of us diehards that can't stop playing the game still love playing the game. Give us a whole new way to explore the game, after 3+ yrs.

THAT would be badass...

I thought the game was rather easy on expert and now I know why, the AI is set to normal (aka moron level) when you load a saved game or transition to the same area twice.

Even if you ironman a level, if you enter a gamezone twice, the guards become blind, deaf and dumb.

To the casual gamer this wont make a difference but Thief enthusiasts are cheated of a proper Thief gaming experience. And Xbox owners are probably screwed even if Eidos releases a patch because I'm sure they don't have the balls or integrity to issue a recall.

I want to know what's up with D2...you suppose something in the last patch was/is time based (so that something will show up in the game after a certain date)?
