Today is the 60th anniversary of the D-Day invasion in World War II. This is
just one of the many moments in history I find it difficult to actually
visualize, with every movie, book, or documentary on the topic only serving to
make it all the more mind-boggling to imagine the incredible mobilization of men
and equipment this involved. And then there's the courage that it takes to storm
a beach under fire, parachute behind enemy lines, defend a besieged position, or
any of that stuff. Just unimaginable.
