Last time I moaned about streaming videos, someone suggested some system which let you download them - some sort of download manager... but I can't remember what it was called. If anybody can rememeber / suggest one, I may let you into some Bilderberg secrets

Even though a considerable amount of discussion today concerns whether Halsy should take a sales job, I'd just like to say the quality of OTB has been pretty good for the last couple days.

I particularly enjoyed the link someone posted here yesterday of the wall street journal's article on Michael Moore. Not by the article itself, but by right wing republican gamers comming out of the woodwork over Moore and entering the political fray here. By slyling twisting the facts to focus on minor issues, the author created an opportunity to espouse conservative republican opinions. Like, the author discusses how in Bowling for Columbine, the bank scene was staged and the bank personnel actually told Moore that he would not recieve a gun for six weeks after a clearance period. I almost forgot the point .... that it's so easy to get guns in this country that banks give them away to new customers. I'm just hoping that the opinions of one editor is not the opinion of all the editors of the wall street journal.

As far as sales jobs go, I would say, generically, without knowing you or your resume/skills, get a job in import/export or travel. Regularly maintain an up to date visa(s) to a foriegn country where you have a safe house and trading base. Meet people from other countries and establish a good relationship with them.

Don't go into sales for the sake of sales. You might be happy initially, but, sales will suck the life out of you. With sales, all your going to do is keep the economy going. But your not going to stop exploitative child labor practices, tree poaching, inneficient consumption of natural resources, unequal distribution of wealth, and the spread of fast food franchises. Greed can sneak up silently. If you dedicate yourself to sales for the sake of sales, you might find yourself unable to see the line between perfecting your sales pitch and helping your client find the best product or service.

Sorry, I can't write now. Think I'm just concerned that sales would perpetuate more consumption.

It's splinted now. I see a specialist on Monday. I hope to get back 80-90% of full movement in 6 weeks.
