Gamer Charity

"Gamer's Pulse, in cooperation with the Children's Wish Foundation today launch a nation wide charity event entitled, "Gamers Grant Wishes in 2004." This charity event is designed to create awarness [sic] for the excellent charitable institution first established by Linda Dozoretz to aid and enhance the lives of terminally diagnosed children and to provide the resources needed to enhance their lives.

Gamers, producers, distributors, manufacturers, and private individuals are encouraged to send in new, used, or surplus computer and video games, strategy guides, controllers, systems, board games and more to enrich the lives of children who are seriously ill. Now more than ever these gifts can become a valuable tool to children in need, as most people think more about charities during winter and holiday times rather during summer months."

Yup. What PA did last Christmas was absolutely amazing.

Presuming they do it again (IIRC, they said they would) then I'll donate this year.

According to Gabe's post today (May 29), they are planning to do it again this year, only bigger. Great news.

Get a grip! These guys are trying to do something good and some of you are criticizing them because they weren't the first. Unbelievable.

It sounds like (but not sure) this is during the summer, penny arcade is during christmas time. I think they are both of value and should co-exist.

We need more people to donate to those in need, not knock others who are trying to do a Good Thing[TM].
