Out of the Blue

As I mentioned yesterday, we are babysitting this weekend, playing host to a pair of boys, one six, and the other just shy of four. Luckily we have Hudson the wonder dog to assist with this, as she is great with kids, and can match even the most sugar-fuelled youngsters' energy levels. So with a little trepidation, we are looking forward to the experience... I'll let you know how things go (I'm guessing a couple of you parents out there are already amused by what they know we are in for here).

Worlds Largest Things Traveling Roadside Attraction.

Oh dear Lord. I used to drive past that Giant Whale (on the Oklahoma page) all the time. I seem to remember a kid drowned there a number of years ago...

BTW, that whale is right next to a nudist colony...FYI, for when you make your travel plans.

Do you have broadband? Are you willing to host pictures for her? If so, I've been using gallery for a few weeks now and love it. It's easy for you to setup (not for her!!!), at least if you already have a web server setup. And there are a variety of ways to add pictures to it that are pretty easy.

May be completely not what you're looking for though, but I prefer it to mailing out pictures.

Other than that, I dunno. The Pricelessware (http://www.pricelessware.org -- highly recommended freeware for Windows) site recommends MyAlbum (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/myalbum/MyAlbum.html), but I dunno that it's very friendly.

Five gets me a basketball team. Baseball is what? Eight?

Nine.

Better get to it. There's that lady in Arkansas with 15. And one of my co-worker's wife's cousins is on #21 in 23 years (her relatives are Amish) -- enough for two teams and umpires! Of course, she has grandchildren older than some of her children...

the episode revolves around sterilization. This put the idea of adding to the family into her head again.
That doesn't really seem like the logical progression of thought, there. I'm going to have to agree with your 'insane' diagnosis.
Baseball is what? Eight?
Nine! Unless you're going with American League rules, then you also need a designated hitter. You could just split the difference and go for 6, put together a hockey team.

I wish you nothing but good luck talking your wife down from her reproduction tree.

What the hell???

Danish IT firm gives workers free Net porn

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/05/27/danish_free_porn/

Forget luncheon vouchers, Danish IT outfit LL Media has set a new benchmark in worker welfare by handing its workers free subscriptions to Net porn sites. The company hopes that the freebies will stop randy Scandinavian employees from accessing Web smut while at work.

Nielsen apparently also expressed the hope that the initiative will make his staff "more relaxed on the job".

Those crazy Danes! I remember one of my old work collegues once getting his porn power point slideshow mixed up with his work power point slideshow during a meeting in front of the boss and 20 others! At this place, that'd be the lunchbreak!

Hey Bronc, remember the vasectomy portion of the conversation from yesterday?

Funny you should say that.

No not that! My wife and I watched the season finale of According to Jim: http://abc.go.com/primetime/accordingtojim/

She thinks it's funny. I watch for the outfits they put Courtney in...

Anyway, the episode revolves around sterilization. This put the idea of adding to the family into her head again.

I don't know what to say to her....

I think she might be insane.

Four?

Right now they outnumber us. Add one more and it's a massacre.

Unless you're going for the baseball team, of course.

I see that the price of SC II has dropped. I also want to pick up another GC title for my son (backyard football for the GC).

Anybody know of any free shipping coupons or other dealies that the major/minor retailers are offering right now?

$45.00 for two titles at EBgames including shipping is the best I've done so far.

I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations for some good, simple, photo album software. Something that will organize pics that is nice and fast, with the ability to resize large photos to make them more appropriate for emailing. Other features are good, but not necessarily needed. It must be simple to use, because it's for my mother, and she still doesn't understand the concepts introduced in Windows 95. Yeah, I know, that's almost 10 years now...
