Strength and Honor Demo

A playable demo for Strength and Honor is now available, offering the chance to check out this upcoming strategy game in the works at Magitech Corporation. The demo contains a trio of historical battles along with the "Queen of the Nile" campaign. The whopping 404 MB download is available on Strength & Honour, though they don't have nearly enough outbound bandwidth for this brute, but the file has been mirrored on 3D Gamers and subsequently on FileFront, Gamer's Hell, and Worthplaying.

What I find is a little strange is that the Governors will expect to get paid more than the income the city they Govern can provide. If I lower their pay scale to match that of the city's income... they complain about being under paid.

I guess I'll have to fire or demote or exicute a few Governors and put someone more loyal in their place. Has anyone else found other alternatives that can be applied to fix this situation?

The battle mode is a bit similar to the older TW Shogun style, but it has a few new twist... like improved custom formations, detatchments that enter the map from differnet flanking positions off map, and delayed strike detatchments that work similar to reinforcments, as well as setting detatchments to intercept off map detatchments set by the enemy. The main strategy of the battle map seems to be attacking the enemy's flag (usually where the battle field commanding general is stationed). moral hits effect the army if generals or division captians are killed... but if thier base (flags) are overrun then the defeat is almost inevitable. This also brings in a twist in tactics from the TW shogun... where you have to defend a postion as well as attack the enemy... and demands a more creative approach to balance a defending and attacking force while playing the battle. (This aspect may also prevents camping in multiplayer games... when the base camp is pe-established.)
