MMO Book Call for Entries

Here's a call for entries for an MMOG book sequel:
Charles River Media, the publisher of Game Programming Gems, is interested in publishing a follow up to the first Massively Multiplayer Games Book. This new book, entitled "More Massively Multiplayer Game Development", will feature roughly 60 Online Game related articles from professional game developers and will debut at the 2005 GDC. If you would like to write a 6-20 page article for this new book, please email the editor at mmpgems@yahoo.com for more details. Each contributor will receive royalties based on sales, estimated to reach between $1000 and $2000 dollars per article. If you have ever wanted to write professionally, this is an easy, painless way to become a published author. The best part is that you can share your hard-earned knowledge, experience, and wisdom with fellow Game Developers. Proposals are due June 6th.

Ok boys - step one - build a long boring spreadsheet er, I mean combat system. Also substitute "innovative and ground-breaking" for long and boring in the press release.

Step two - add a 1 minute timer to any simple activity and give each mob 3 times the hit points of any player as a way of extending the "content".

Step three - Spread the development team so thin and add as many features as possible to the game so that there isn't any way that any of them will work well at launch and most of them will be down right broken. Make it a goal to fix the first third of these and call it an expansion.

Step four - profit!

Can I have my thousand dollars now?
