People seemed to have missed the info that was in all of the different HL2 acticles this last week... that HL2 went into alpha state this march and thus is in the 'final' stretch. Which means the estimation of this summer is possible and (hopefully) probable.
That said, I'll put in another vote for ATI saying "no way" to this CS2 deal. I'm sure it hurt their image as much as it hurt Valve's.
Thats another thing, valve keeps insisting that ATI cards run there engine better then anything else, yet Troika is making Vampire: Bloodlines based off the engine, and are showing the game off with nvidia run machines in there current press tours and saying it runs fine (and NOT 6800u's).
I've never heard that HL2 won't run "well" on a nvidia card. I would expect it to run pretty equally well on both cards. Everyone knows that "best played on ATI" or "made for NVIDIA" is marketing BS.
