Ah, they've got more games than I thought.

Yeah, I only played the demo for Firestarter, but wasn't impressed. Hope Stalker turns out to be good still. I wanted to try the alpha demo but never was able to get it to run.

That title just looks really really interesting. It's been awhile since I've played a good tactical combat game, and having it set in a cyberpunk setting is just gravy.

The Last Samurai was one of the best movies I'd ever seen, right up till the end.

I hate endings like that.

Well, there are a number of titles:

But, I was specifically referring to Firestarter. Not that it was a terrible game, but the gameplay and depth did not necessarily correspond with the game's graphics or possibilities.

Really, I just want to play a demo; until I can both see how well/bad the game runs and what the gameplay is like, this is still an U.N.K.N.O.W.N. in my mind.

Liking The Last Samurai,

Nvidia had better make sure that either S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or Doom 3 run amazingly well on its hardware, else I will go with ATI again. PS3 is nice, but how many games will actually be using it within the next 6-9 months before the next cards are released?

Anyway, I hope that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. plays B.E.T.T.E.R. than GSC's previous release.

Cooperative play will not be included in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

How depressing, I would rather have had DX8.1 and co-op play personally.

Oleg Yavorsky: For E3, we have worked on a DirectX 9 version of the game and will demonstrate cutting-edge technologies onscreen: up to 3 million polygons per frame in real time, fully dynamic lighting, soft dynamic shadows cast from every object onto other objects, as well as extensive use of shaders, post-processing effects, and more. We will demonstrate one of the in-game indoor levels--the Chernobyl sarcophagus underground areas--fully in DirectX 9.
