EQ to Expand Again

Sony Online Entertainment Announces Omens of War Expansion for Everquest (thanks Frans) announces yet another expansion (the eighth?) for EverQuest, SOE's MMORPG. Word is: "This expansion will feature new high-level Epic weapons while raising the player level cap to level 70. EverQuest players will also enjoy a new visual appearance thanks to the use of the new next-generation graphics engine. EverQuest: Omens of War is scheduled to be available at retail and for digital download from Sony Online Entertainment for $29.99 in July." The EverQuest: Omens of War Website is already online.

I guess at this point the marketing team's biggest challenge is consistently naming all these things so that their initials won't be confused with one another. They almost dropped the ball early on with SoV and SoL, but it must be easier to come up with more distinct acronyms while you're rolling around in ever more mountainous piles of money. GoD: nice touch.

The solution to the problem with so many discs is to just toss them all into the trash. They won't be good for much once EQ2's come around.

nope as I said I don't have it installed anymore.
I'm rather sick and tired of elfs/dwarfs/orcs etc in MMORPG games.

7 GB??? Did you forget to delete the now obsolete .txc files? Mine takes about 2,4 GB without GoD.

I have given up on waiting for BIS to come back to their senses and do a real ArmA 2 successor.

Is if ya ever have to reinstall it.

Everquest 1 CD
Ruins of Kunark 1 CD
Scars of Velious 1 CD
Shadows of Luclin 3 CD
Planes of Power 2 CD
Legacy of Ykesha 1 CD (think)
Lost Dungeons of Norrath 1 CD (think)
Gates of Discord 1 CD (again I think been awhile scince I reinstalled any of this and don't plan on playing anytime soon)
And now this expansion. Last time I looked I think it was close to 7 gigs of install space, including the rextured "Classic" textures of Kunark, EQ, and Velious.

I'm just wondering, how much HD space does EQ with all the expansions installed take up?

I can only imagine......

Game is so huge now, I bet you can go for days in the game without seeing another soul. I left the game after like the 2nd expansion pack and moved on to other things.

They can really get away with $29.99? Take the release date MSRPs of EQ and all its expansions, top it off with $10 a month for something like (rough guess) 50 months, and you've got freaks who've paid somewhere in the vicinity of one thousand dollars for this game.

Well, that's another expansion for my addicted-to-the-game-like-heroin friends to latch onto. Sony, you took all my friends you bastards!
