There is a reason many games only support coop on the xbox. Have any of you ever looked in to, or researched how coop is achieved with an xbox versus pc? I think it's worth checking out before flaming the forums about how much the said software development company sucks. It really shows your ignorance when you flame on a subject which you may know nothing about. (not aimed at anyone in particular... just a thought)

So now my comeback's must be not only funny and clever, they must also be big? That's kinda rough.

And that guy knocking ut2k4 vehicles is smoking his socks (or something similarly dangerous)...
I eat pasta!

I feel like you can feel the inertia in the manta and the raptor at least as much as you would in the ghost in halo. the scorpion buggy (not the tank in halo) seems to be a bit weird - i just dont like it as a vehicle...but that might be because they modeled its physics as a light vehicle well? i mean obviously any critique of vehicles shouldnt include the levi-flying flaw, especially cuz they are fixing the update. plus the fact that you can destroy as well as repair vehix in ut2k4 i think is a awesome addition (one which they are incoporating into halo 2 i believe). Vehicles in ut also seem more effective than halo, no? i could consistently just shoot a driver out with a pistol or sniper rifle in halo but in ut man vs vehik is a bit more harrowing. i dont know if we can expect some oneupsmanship from halo 2, as they might yet improve on ut2k4s vehix but its possible.

oh goody. another halo post and another bunch of zombies posting the same old shit which isn't even relevant to this thread.. and get a new come back other than 'i wonder what he's smoking'. it isn't funny, clever, big, and it certainly doesn't make you look like you know what you're talking about.

i have to agree with the earlier post; the vehicle physics in UT2004 are all wrong

Have you even played UT2k4? What is "all wrong" with them? What's better about the Halo vehicle physics?

Lot of people smoking their breakfast this morning it seems like.

i played halo mp via xbox and gamespy's xbox tunnel for the longest time and i enjoyed the careful attention to strategy and tactics one would have to observe while playing CTF on BG or hang em high. but onslaught blew it all away. ut2k4 requirse far more skill and just being a more developed implementation of the things halo brought to the table means you have to think more in trying to be successful. halo is a great game but ive naturally gravitated towards ut2k4

Why weren't these optimisations included with the original Single player release?

It's nice of them to support a game but I can't see it reviving the PC Halo community when there are so many better engines about to mod for.

No. Onslaught's weapons and vehicles suck.

Smoother graphics and netcode, slightly more interesting game style, much shittier fun factor.

Halo did most things wrong, but they got the vehicles right. UT2K4's just blow.

Isn't UT2k4's Onslaught way better than Halo MP in every respect? I only played Halo MP very briefly, but it didnt seem like anything to get excited over. Would have been cool 2 years ago....

The mod tools have been released - take a look at the worthplaying link. Now if only I could find a mirror that works...

The answer to your question should be really really REALLY obvious. This is a stand-alone multiplayer version of Halo. Obviously it wouldn't really be of interest to someone who doesn't care for MP Halo.

Though the release of the mod tools might increase interest in multiplayer.

I'm too lazy to investigate this further my self . . . can any one tell me why this CE release is even remotely interesting to someone who finished the game and rarely (if at all) plays the multiplayer?

Thanks!
