The Halo Custom Edition is now available for download, providing the promised
stand-alone multiplayer version of Halo: Combat Evolved that adds a bunch of new
features, and support for user-created content. A valid Halo CD key from the
retail version is require to install the Custom Edition. The 170 MB download can
be found on
3D Downloads, 3D Gamers,
FilePlanet
(registration required),
Gamer's Hell, and
Worthplaying.
I'm too lazy to investigate this further my self . . . can any one tell me why this CE release is even remotely interesting to someone who finished the game and rarely (if at all) plays the multiplayer?
