Public Guild Wars demo for E3 on GameSpot has news that ArenaNet and NCsoft will announce on Monday that they will be releasing a demo version of Guild Wars that will allow a public sample of the upcoming MMORPG during the three days of E3, May 12-14. Word is: "The Guild Wars demo was designed for easy online distribution, and the small 100K client will only need to download around 30MB of art assets from the ArenaNet servers before demo participants can set up an account and log into the game. The developer says it's ready for a massive influx of participants."

Yeah the game is not ONLY about PVP, although it is a very strong component. You can do whatever you want.. solo play, team up and level.. But the game will feature a ton of Player-versus-Player options as well as Guild versus Guild game types. Castle sieges are in the works, guild tournaments too (featuring fps game types.. king of the hill, capture the flag.. stuff like that)
