yeah, Warbirds rules. I don't play it (subscription!!! stay away!), but I think I remember the ability for players to hop into the turret of ANY airborne bomber. Plus the bomber pilot himself was capable of going into any turret, I think. This was a huge improvement over Airwarrior 3's system.... where the bomber pilot just sat there and did nothing for 30 minutes every sortie. -___-

Think I'll give this game another try - used to play it all the time (went from Air Warrior to WB and never looked back), but burned myself out on it.

Warning to casual gamers - the Warbirds I remember has a pretty advanced/realistic/tough flight model - don't go looking for something that feels like an arcade flight game or Crimson Skies (yes, it is a really fun game, but not intended to be a flight simulator).

If you liked IL-2 or other "hard core" flight sims, WB is really a treat...

Man I love warbirds, but I don't enjoy the idea of paying a subscription service. I miss the days of old where the game allowed 1 on 1 matches via modem connection. They should enable that again or allow IP or something similar. Otherwise, I'm going to stick to other sims.
