Who's to say that genetically mutated men might not be the enemies you're fighting?
That's the idea that I got out of it, actually.
Anyways, it sounds a bit like a Leather Goddesses of Phobos meets Serious Sam or something. Hey Busy Buka, what do you guys smoke during the day? Where can you buy stuff like that?

Their bodies transformed to become parts of collective intelligence, presumably controlled by some non-humanoid creatures. The Velian men proved to be resistant to the virus, but they lost their status of free intelligent beings and only existed as suppliers of biomaterial for further gene experimentation and as parts of complex biomechanical systems. The society became now a kind of matriarchal hive. Now the next quote:
Your main enemies will be the mutated representatives of the weaker sex Everyone here is assuming that 'weaker sex' refers to women in this press release, and then slams anyone who agrees with that sentiment. Accepting that as the only reference to 'weaker sex' is just as bad. Think on it, the women were mutated, but they are in control of the men. Who's weaker there? The men. Who are being used as genetic material for experiments here? The men. Who's to say that genetically mutated men might not be the enemies you're fighting?

I'd like to post a comment about the actual post, if I may.
This is the greatest press release ever! The plot summary is fantastic! What a background story! And the character? A trooper of the government army! What depth! What scope! This has never been done before! The premise itself simply boggles the mind! You play a nondescript, generic soldier who has to -get this- KILL ALIEN MUTANTS! With weapons and equipment!
And the features just make my mouth water in vaguely sexual anticipation! There's support of Multiplayer! Do you know what that means? It means lots of people can play together! I can see it now: 16 generic soldiers, all shooting each other with 16 fantastic deadly weapons, in the future of our Universe! It's visionary! And really, who hasn't been craving a game with Terrific 3d action? You just can't find that anywhere else but here! Operation:Matriarchy, people! Probably a poor imitation of an oversaturated genre! Where do I sign up to preorder?
(Following is a transcript of the events leading up to the press release)
Buka(in Russian): Hey, Clyde, we're making this game. It's an FPS, and really it's nothing new, and it doesn't work that well. I don't really like it. Can you write up a press release to hype it up to Americans?
Clyde: Sh*t Buka, another one? I haven't seen Janice in 3 months, and I haven't slept in 2 weeks! Also, the bandaid you told me to put around this compoud fracture is starting to smell funny.
Buka: Shut up, Clyde. OK, it's about... um... it's about aliens. Yah, aliens. They turn all the chicks into mutants. Strong ones. But with big hooters. Think up a cool name for the aliens, Clyde. Yah, so you're this elite trooper guy and you kill the aliens. And you get guns and stuff. OK, go to it.
Clyde: Wait! What about the hook?
Buka: Dude, I just gave it to you! OK, how bout this. We got some multiplayer, but the netcode's kind of funky. Oh, and there's lots of levels. Sammy said 15 or something. More than 15. Oh yah, when you shoot a guy, make that a hideous but still strangely attractive alien mutant girl, when you shoot him... her... in the head, she dies right away. That's new, isn't it? We picked it up from this other game called SiN. Cutting edge stuff. OK, shut up and get to work.

Hmmm. For the life of me, I can't see how the first paragraph of the release relates to the second paragraph.

They can be just as strong only IF they both have the same muscle mass. Again, since women cannot achieve the same muscle mass as men, women cannot become as strong as men.

"Where I'm from (Earth), females ARE the weaker sex. And when they say "weaker sex" they mean physically weaker, not weaker in some abstract emotional or psychological capacity, which is what the majority of you seem to have taken from the statement. A statement of fact is not misogyny.
Its been proven both men and women can equally gain the same muscle mass, so this statement is untrue. I'd like some sources for this "proof". Maybe men and women can gain muscle mass at the same rate, but they don't gain the same amount of muscle mass. This should be pretty self-evident."
According to studies, and yes if you want to be Mr. Wizard about it I'll go post the direct links to the doctor lead studies, men on average have 30% more mass to begin with (in skeletal and muscular build) than the average woman. However, in studies of muscle mass and strength gain, both men and women can achieve the same strength.
And no, this is not saying that women are stronger, are usually as strong, or that janet reno is not a man, simply that they can become as strong. I'm sure it takes more effort on the woman's part too.

http://www.musclemonthly.com/articles/000915/000915-volk-female-muscle.htm Basically, a woman with the same amount of muscle mass as a man will be just as strong, BUT since women cannot develop the same muscle mass as men, they, generally speaking, are physically weaker than men. Another thing is that people have to get it through their heads is that, regardless of what the constitution says, not everyone is created equally. Some people are smarter, some are shorter, some are more artistic, some can't lose weight easily while others can't gain weight no matter how much they eat. Men and women are NOT the same, either. Period. Cry as much as you want; it won't make a difference. The following examples are generally true: Men are taller than women. Women weigh less. Men have 50% more total muscle mass. Women have about 10% more body fat than men. Women have less bone structure than men, but their pelvis is wider. Men can pump more blood through the heart than women due to a 25% larger heart in men. Women are more flexible. Etcetera. The list goes on and on. And that's just the physical aspect of the differences. Then, you have the psychological, chemical, and other differences. The point is: We're different. Get over it.

WW3 (or 5 depending on how you're keeping score) won't start because of politics or religious intolerance or even scarcity of resources. It'll start because of an overlooked comma in the wrong place.

Its just meant to be a pun you fucking idiots, because it's probably going to be more than obvious they are not weaker.
As in, "oh look female mutants, the weaker sex." As one of said mutants rips a bulkhead in half and then throws it at you. |

#16, it's not so much that we missed it, it's that apparently we don't think that exusing a publisher comitting misogyny as an action to "generate public attention" is as acceptable an action as you seem to believe.
Are you so frustrated that no one commented on your "insight" that you felt the need to post the same thing again? If so, then please accept me as the forgiving Jesus who sacrifices himself so that you may be appeased and noticed, that your demand for attention may be appeased, and so that the rest of us may talk about more important and interesting things.
I am simply that generous.

I'd much rather stay naive in your eyes and not give up hope for a just society in the future. Pointing out things like misogyny and racism is part of that.
I second that.

It's called The Real World. They're Russians; they do not feel constrained by bullshit, politically correct garbage like so many gullible Americans. Political correctness--and it's bastard child Newspeak--are luxuries of a wealthy, pampered society that is insulated from the harsh realities of survival. Go travel the world and visit the backwaters of few Third World countries like I did when I was younger, and you'll quickly lose your silly, paper-thin skin that gets prickled over pointless semantics.
Short version: Grow up.
Theres places out there that accept slavery and genocide as well. These are all parts of the real world does that mean we should accept them?
Your idea of growing up is giving up. I'd much rather stay naive in your eyes and not give up hope for a just society in the future. Pointing out things like misogyny and racism is part of that.

It's unfortunate that societies and groups exist who still think like this.

How does Buka start all these game projects? Are they a publisher or developer? And if they have the cash to make 10 games at once, why can't they hire a decent translator?
