After fixing a glitch that made the videos unavailable, there is a new video for The Bard's Tale on IGN showing off the upcoming RPG remake. The clip is available in smaller and larger sizes in your choice of QuickTime or Windows Media Player formats. Also, a Battle for Troy movie is available on 3D Gamers, showing off "the newly available 3D real-time strategy game set in ancient times created by Zono and ValuSoft."

They believe name recognition applied to mainstream cookie cutter gameplay will make them all rich.

In other words, Bard's Tale will suck ass and fail miserably.

They're working on the PC version of this thing, but why? Who thought it was a good idea to design a RPG for consoles and port it to the PC? A company that makes decisions like this can't last very long.

You mean like Bioware? Maybe you're right: all those awards KOTOR won don't mean squat when we righteous PC gamers tell 'em who's boss.

No one exactly yanked the Bard's Tale copyright it was Brian Fargo's choice albeit a very bad one as the game he has described is not even remotely like the series of the same name. Its just inXile jumping on the Dark Alliance bandwagon of changing rpgs into action games with no similarities and retaining the title just to sucker a few fans into buying it.

I thought more 18-25 year olds played console games?

What I want to know is why Blue is linking to videos which we can't even watch without paying for a subscription to IGN.

Well... I don't have an IGN subscription... and I watched them.. Try again

I wonder who's idea it was to yoink the Bard's Tale copyright for consoles. Choices like this make no sense to me. Why wouldn't they just call it something else? Anyone who got hooked on the old Bard is going to be at least in his or her mid-20's now; that's not exactly any console developer's target demographic.

They're working on the PC version of this thing, but why? Who thought it was a good idea to design a RPG for consoles and port it to the PC? A company that makes decisions like this can't last very long.
