This is a myth, NTFS gets as (or more) fragged as FAT drives
Oh, so it's not just me, good. I had time to get a drink and hang a pee during one level loading...
it's taking an insane amount of time for my computer to load maps.Oh, so it's not just me, good. I had time to get a drink and hang a pee during one level loading...
if you run NTFS there's no need to defragThis is a myth, NTFS gets as (or more) fragged as FAT drives. I'm actually in the process of cleaning a bunch of stuff off my machine (2 gigs free out of 120) so I can defrag, because the drive map after analyzing it is almost completely red (eg: fragmented).
if you get shitty 2k4 preformance make sure that you have the option to preload all skins OFF
defrag your hard drive its 5.5gigs big so having it in 500000 places across your hd is going to fuck it up more than most games
Replying to my own post... but I can now verify first-hand that playing with a cracked exe allows you to play UT2k4 online, I just finished a session of ONS.
I need to scratch together enough money to pick up UT04 right away
