That is the stupidest thing I have ever seen any human being post on blues news.
Hands down.

Compliment accepted. Now would you care to justify your statement, or do you expect us to just take it as a fact purely because you said so?

No, what BG lets you do is slash several Hars at once, then BD all of them and send one flying up into the air and exploding while you grab a second and throw him completely out of the arena, instantly killing him.

I almost totaly agree with Chris right there. The game is not perfect, but I do think it is better than OMF2097.
I give it a 7/10 as well.
It is fun and it is actually very unique and a nice change of pace.
Issues are mostly cosmetic and server information based but it plays ok and I did not have too much trouble adjusting to the controls. After you play for a bit it is easy to start doing combos. And while it seems simple at first, you have not seen anything until you beat one of the regular players online and he unleashes a 23 hit combo on you.
Luckily I learn fast so these guys were just showing me everything I needed to beat them the next round.

It's not what I had hoped for, but it's not bad. I programmed the moves for my gamepad, which definately made the game more enjoyable.

It's nowhere near as fun as the original 2D version (that game was AWESOME), but it was ok; and the nastalgic music playing during the config screens almost brought a tear of joy to my eyes. If I ever see it in the bargain bin, I'll probably pick it up.

While the controls were BETTER with the gamepad than the keyboard, they were far from perfect. I found it a pain to face my enemy, but actual combat (punching, kicking, combos) was alright. Force is a cool 'bot, and I easily beat Raven on more difficult settings.

All-in-all, I'd give the demo a 7 / 10. While it has some "issues", and nowhere comes close to the original version, it's an alright game that beings back memories of playing it on my old 486DX 33.

Oh yeah? And from what I can see Oni doesn't let you stomp on someones feet while at the same time smoking a pipe, holding a carrot in your right hand, wiggling your tongue AND wink at the same time either. Or just put people down on their bottoms.

Oni didn't had a system that were anywhere near as deep as this one

Actually Oni had almost everything you mentioned there. The difference is that OMF is mainly a button masher - you have to memorise various combos and then punch them out in the right order. The combos are counterintuitive (just a random string of motions). The special moves in Oni were much simpler but also harder - eg: The 'rising fury' punch required you to crouch, and then punch as you stood up. It was very simple, made sense because of the action it produced, but required perfect timing.

And from what I can see OMF doesn't let you run at someone, jump up, wrap your arm around his neck, spin around his neck and snap it while kicking other players with your outstretched legs. Or just pick people up and throw them at other enemies.

Just so you know, there is 3D movement. Sidesteps (two directions) circlestrafe (two directions), air flips (four directions), air evdes (four directions), 90 and 180 degree turns, jumps (two), side attacks, high and low attacks. In addition evade + forward will autoturn to closest target.

Oni didn't had a system that were anywhere near as deep as this one, which is why mouse aim worked so good in that game.

Just give the game some time, you won't learn the controls in 5 seconds. There is more to it than visible on the surface and there is especially a lot more 3D than your particular fighting game has, like combo evasion and free combo schemes.

It's a nice concept, but not terribly well delivered. I wish the controls/movement were more like 'Oni'. Whatever you might say about Oni, it had an excellent fighting system.

I loved the old 2D version. This one is very disappointing. Nice chrome effects. I cannot believe it took so many years to complete this.

One good part was hearing that old music used in the original game. Ahhh, the memories!

It basically plays like a 2D game. It feels like they just stuck the 3rd dimension on for kicks without adapting the controls.
