Out of the Blue

It's been a long time since I have been looking forward to a game as much as I am anticipating the release of Battlefield Vietnam... it's common to look forward to the weekend, but I'm not used to the sensation of wishing for the weekend to have ended... Monday is seeming like it's an awfully long way away.

The movie is going to stink. I would rather see stand alone movies instead of those groups fighting each other.

I am looking forward to seeing Troy, Spider-Man 2, and Shrek 2 in theater. AvP will be a DVD rental if it is worth looking.

Blue,

I have been having this problem for about a week now, and I tohught I would bring it up. When I go into a comments section, and then leave it using the back button to get back to the main page. The main page makes it to about the 3rd topic or so (seems to be character or location specific, depending on the length of the topics.) Then it stops mid topic, or even mid line, and sit there forever waiting on the the rest of the page. If I hit reload the page comes back completely. Anyway thought you should know.

System;
Win XP Sp1a
IE 6.0 Sp1

If you need anymore info just ask.

Terrible trailer, but i'll go see it anyways...

Predator and Aliens are a couple of my all-time favorites.

I was a bit worried about the graphics in BFV until I saw the surfing birds video. It really showed off how much better the BFV engine is. It's not cutting edge but definitely a big improvement.

so I've put in a request to put an end to whatever madness this represented.

My wife, family, lungs and wallet all thank you.

Seriously, 13 years ago I quit a 2.5 pack a day habit cold turkey. To this day I crave them. Spooky stuff.

FWIW, I probably wouldn't draw this line for cigars.

I can understand. Because you don't inhale them I can have one every once in a while and not make myself crazy for cigarettes. Just smelling a square makes me want to light up. Cigars, no big deal for me. Go figure.

I haven't seen the cigarette ads, but this is the second comment I've seen about them, so I've put in a request to put an end to whatever madness this represented.

Ew! Soprano's banner ad! Whoo!

I like the ones for cigarettes. I keep seeing them - I'm going to go back to smoking. 13 years of non-smoking down the drain thanks to a banner ad.

Armenians.

Season 3 picks up a few months after season 2 ends. I won't reveal anything spoilerish without putting it in secret tags, don't worry.

As for not getting to see it over in the UK yet, why don't you just d/l eps from the internet when they are new here? That's what I do if I miss anything, it's not a big deal IMO.

What's up with the graphics on BF:v? I am tired of paying lots of money for games which look like games released almost 5 years ago.

Want a demo, get BF1942, download Eve of Destruction. Poof, you like it, go Buy bfv.

From the screenshots I've seen 0.3 EoD actually looks prettier than BfV.. that and the awesome multiplayer maps they have. EoD is the only mod with night maps that I actually like playing.

BFV versus UT.. Mar 10, 2004, 12:49
Mar 10, 2004, 12:49

Until I played the latest Forgotten Hope version, BF really wasnt my game. but I have to admit, after all my negative comments about BF, Forgotten hope turns out to be pretty damn good They really did away with most of the stuff in BF that just didnt feel right IMO, and added a much more War-like feel, specially you feel very prone to danger all the time, I love it!, so when this mod gets released for BFV, i might consider getting it.

Currently though , Im eagerly awaiting my DVD SE tinbox of UT2004. Before the demo, my only interest in this game was future releases of Red Orchestra, but Onslaught is just too much fun not to love it. Red Orchestra 2.0 for 2k4 will be out in mid-april, and also Action UT (sequel to AQ2 and AHL) is coming this spring and the scarynamed "The Third Reich" mod is also on its way for UT2004

So, UT is my priority, both for the game itself and lots of great mods. BFV is not a priority, unless FH converts totally and nobody plays the '42 version anymore.

Also, there are some random signs DOOM3 is on its way soon, and SplinterCell PT is already gold.... too many games too little time.. which is good!

I NEVER watch TV series... The last one I regularly watched was 3 or 4 years ago. The Shield series 2 changed all that. (Spoiler alerts please!)

Which season is the one where they keep talking about the money train?

Thats season 2 - leads up to the hit on the Albanians(?) Mafia money train. Wonder when we're going to get series 3 over in the UK...

I'm curious about BFV but won't play it without a demo and/or extensive word of mouth reviews.

What?! Haven't you heard of BF1942? Good god man, this game is going to rock. I already pre-ordered my copy! Can't wait, finally an update to this game that will challenge my AIW 9800 Pro!

That AvP trialer is not the final trailer, it's an internet TEASER trailer, exclusive to the internet. The full trailer does not come until June.

Take Care,
