The 90 MB clip can be found on the Far Cry Homepage and the German Ubisoft Website, and mirrored on Filerush, Gamer's Hell, GamesAgent.net, and Worthplaying. Also, the official Silent Hill 4: The Room Website is online, offering a trailer showing off Silent Hill 4, the next installment in Konami's horror/survival series. This clip is mirrored on Gamer's Hell, GameTab, Tiscali Games, and Worthplaying. Finally, the Crusader Kings intro movie has been released, and is available on Gamer's Hell and Worthplaying.

btw, anyone check out that Silent Hill 4 trailer? OMG

Yes, it looks sufficiently f**ked up in the head to be a worthy successor to SH 3. Though much of it is too dark to really make out, the two headed women and those biped things with knees on back to front look scary as hell.

My only complaint with these games is the dialogue is so god damn awful. Please get a decent writer in this time Konami!

I'm looking forward to STALKER more than any other game this year. At the same time, I'm avoiding all info/movies/previews/etc. on purpose so I won't be let down.

I also agree that each of the big FPS games this year will have their own respective place. They will each be unique enough that you can't really compare them. All I know for sure is that this year is going to rock for FPS gamers.

How come everyone is leaving out this game? It seem like a combonation of all the "big" 3 Doom 3, FarCry & HL2

Totally agree with Xero there, there's an FPS for every mood: There are times where you want to kill stuff on a tropic isle and there are also times where you wanna be trapped on a space station at the edge of hell

Yeah that 90mb one is rediculous when the 10mb is the same thing and hardly difference in quality since I did end up dling the 90mb just to see if anything was different in it. Far Cry is an amazing start for our next gen FPS games. As far as comparing, there is none, they each have their own reasons to get them. I definitely will. Far Cry will be my huge outdoor-very pretty game, Half Life 2 will be my multiplayer fix(with mods), and Doom 3 will be my scare my soul out of me, crap my pants a hundred times, kick some alien ass game So to each it's own, I will get all 3 and not complain. Who wouldn't if they spend 300 bucks on a new graphic card? You gonna let it bore it's self into a como while you run Starcraft on it? I know I will want my money's worth when I get my new graphic card. Cheers!

In my opinion, the days of small closed hallways is over like in Doom 3, and the days of bright and well light outdoor environments is in like in Far Cry and Half Life 2. There's a lot more places you can go when you can leave a building

It depends on what type of game you are trying to make.

Doom 3 is trying to be the most terrifying, Depends-worthy game ever, and tight, claustrophobic environments are much better for that the wide-open spaces where you can see long distances.

Frankly that's the thing I'm most looking forward to; it seems like every FPS coming out is gunning for the title of biggest, most expansive outdoor environment and we're desperately short on variety

You can get MP (on lan only i think) working with this link:

http://www.lunchboxpad.com/farcrymp.zip

Follow the instructions, and you will be good to go. I had to reinstall the demo though since I had done the hanglider mod...

The current publicly released demo is single player only. The multiplayer one is currently in beta, and will be released to the public somewhere around the last week of February.

Does anyone know if the 503mb demo with the fort map includes multiplayer? The site is pretty sketchy about multiplayer, other than the full game includes network code, server support, and a network client.

"The Far Cry trailer is ~10 MB"

The converted WMV file is 10 megs, but the original ridiculously bloated quicktime is 90 megs. Bloat = bad. In my opinion, the days of small closed hallways is over like in Doom 3, and the days of bright and well light outdoor environments is in like in Far Cry and Half Life 2. There's a lot more places you can go when you can leave a building.

This looks good! Next-gen fps games really are exciting. Probably very expensive to run hardware-wise, though...
