Nations: Thrones and Patriots Website is online, offering an official
homebase for the upcoming expansion for Big Huge Games' RTS game. The site
offers info, screenshots, wallpapers, and downloads of the fan site kit for the
project.

Maybe they didn't want to get sued by Microsprose or Sid Meier 
Is it just me, or does the government stuff sound kind of lame? If all it does it get you a couple of modifiers, then what's really the point?
When RoN first shipped, they said they left govt out because they thought it was extraneous and didn't add much to the game, but they _might_ readdress it for an expansionpack.
Well, it sounds like they just threw in their original idea and called it a day.
To bad, because it could have added some novel gameplay.
for example, with Despotism - if your leader is killed you go into anarchy (e.g. recent events in Iraq vis a vis mr. hussein).
Maybe it will have little nuances like that, and they just don't mention them on the site.

I enjoyed RON. And it looks like RON:T&P is going to be a good expansion as well, we'll have to see. But the improvements such as government are good.
