on GameSpy with a few profiles of the upcoming shooter sequel. The group of

Unreal Tournament
2004 Preview, an examination of what will be included in the

Edition, some
demo details,

article on what the future holds for the Unreal franchise. They also promise
a CliffyB Q&A tomorrow and a UT2004 extended hands-on preview on Friday.
Thanks for the tip, nin. Just switched out my preorder. $40 is great value for the dollar based on what you get in the box, IMO.
I did the same thing. Canceled my regular edition with them and turned right around and ordered the dvd version. It used to be like $20 higher, so they either screwed up and priced it wrong, or (due to a lack of preorders) they dropped the price.
Either way, we win!

A single disk DVD release that's identicle to the 6 CD release should be cheaper, like $35 if the CD release is $40.
nice to see a game coming on DVD, though pity its only for a +$20 (i.e. GBP £15-£20) special version 
anyone know of plans to have a normal version on a single DVD, at the normal price? Not excited about avi's and dont need a headset.

I downloaded that huge 300 meg Gapespy-exclusive video that featured music from the Dropkick Murphys. Question I have is whether the retail UT'04 will have that soundtrack in it. PLEASE tell me it won't, otherwise I will cancel my pre-order right now if it does.

Yea thank god! New titles are being released exclusively on DVD now here in germany, not only special editions. Unfortunately, I won't buy UT2k4 since I'll save my money for Farcry (releases on DVD here in germany ;)) and Battlefield Vietnam. 2K4 just hasn't very much I'd pay full price for. Maybe later at a budget price.
