Out of the Blue

It's a double-burial here at the BlueTower today, as we're buried in snow, and of course, buried in email. This worm continues to flood the internet, Frans points out one estimate putting the number of infected mails at one-in-12 and another that places it as one-in-nine. The ratio is even worse here, and I needed to wade through my mail server with a machete before I could even get the mess to download (wheee!). Meanwhile, there's another huge pile of snow outside. Whatever happened to the good old days when the weatherman was always wrong? Seems like lately they are always right on, which would be fine if they would only stop predicting blizzards.

Oh, and once again, one can only hope there's a special ring in techie hell for ISPs and users "savvy" enough to notify senders that they may have sent a virus... nothing like trying to plow through the endless worms and also have to suffer through all these idiotic "you may have sent a virus" warnings that are being sent to the forged return addresses on these mails.

Will spam be gone by 2006 (thanks Tony!!!)? We can only hope...

I'm sorry but I just can not agree with this. She is a menace. Anyone that narcissistic should be shot into space.

Not a video, but a fatality list: http://hometown.aol.com/base194/myhomepage/base_fatality_list

Sad, but oddly interesting (seeing how each person died)...

Babs? What a bummer! Especially with Hoffman recently signing on, this would have been great.

I think it'll be funny as hell, and even better with her...I have a feeling any character she'd play in this movie would be the polar opposite of anything she's done before...

having said that a 'base jumping gone wrong' video would be pretty short im sure

Well, after seeing the video my coworkers and I surfed for some base jumping info. Not a video, but a fatality list: http://hometown.aol.com/base194/myhomepage/base_fatality_list

There are some pretty nasty ones in there... impacting into the ground at full speed. There are also some bad luck incidents -- like the guy who slipped on ice on the way to the launch and fell to his death. He had all of his gear in his backpack.

I swear I've heard that song before, probably on a movie soundtrack. It also seems like there was something similar on the Fifth Element soundtrack (I think).

I'm sure that many here have not seen it for one reason or another but the banner ad with Jesus in it is kind of freaky.
I said something about it 3 or 4 days ago.

And for some stupid reason, 9 out of 10 times it is that damn ad!

I had an out of body experience
The other day
Her name was jesus
and for her everyone, everyone cried, everyone cried.
Try her philosophy, try her philosophy, try here philosophy, you die for her philosophy, die.
Crossed and terrored ravages of architecture lend me thy blades, we're crossed and terrored ravages of architecture, hoist around the spade.
Try her philosophy, try her philosophy, try here philosophy, you die for her philosophy, die, for her philosophy,
die her philosophy die.
Die.....die....die....why...
