If you market your game as an online shooter, why don't you include SOME form of cheat protection out of the box? Why does it take thousands of pissed off customers to complain about it for almost every single game to come out these days, before publishers decide that maybe they should put it in?
Obviously it's a money issue, but I doubt it's gotten a lot cheaper in the month and a half since the game's release? And it's not like Activision has no experience with online FPS games or anything. Just plain strange.
