IF they ever find the guy that did it, AND can provide proof in a court of law that he did it, he'll get very little to zero jailtime out of it, since there is absolutely no precedent for any computer crime getting a heavy sentence.
Which, ofcourse, will point us nicely towards the new law the government has been wanting to set up in which a hacker could be put away for life if he messed with Really Important Shit (tm), and to which approximately 99% of all posters on this board shouted it was nazi'ist and woe would become us. It will be interesting to see to what new level hypocrisy can rise once everyone will start clambering for the Half Life 2 guy's head in relation to his theft...
