Out of the Blue

I've had a crick in my neck for about a week now, that's turned into a crick in my back. It's nothing too terrible, just a slight annoyance, though I am disturbed at the downward trend... these things usually just work themselves out, but if this descent continues, I'm going to wake up tomorrow with a crick in my ass! Hmm, that doesn't sound right... ass-ache? Nah, that sounds worse... nevermind.

Blue, by about my mid-thirties everything was hurting, due to weight-training in my 20s nuking every joint in my body, followed by sitting on my ass for 10 years. About 5 years ago I was introduced to pilates and haven't looked back. 15 minutes three times a week and I've barely a twinge anywhere.

I'm to the point I don't even vote anymore. I guess the object when I did vote was to vote for the person who'd screw me over the least. Problem is these days your gonna get screwed one way or another, and those aren't even the people running for offices. I mean you have your Rush Limbaughs and your Barbara Streisands and everything inbetween.

Why can't these be the first people we send to mars?

What really baffles me is the fact that the right and left wingers can only point fingers and fling mud but not once do they offer constructive critism or say 'ya know that wasn't the best way to do that, here's what I might have done instead'

Yeah yeah I know I'm dreaming of a perfect world, but we're not that far from hitting the bottom of the barrel as it is. Which is scarey.

On a lighter note, thank you for that bit of humor WarPig. I had a good chuckle over that one.

Hell, I don't even vote, not because I don't care, but because the only people I'd ever vote for are myself, and Christopher Walken.
That's a pretty twisted statement, there, "bub".

you and your ilk on the right.
You think I'm a right-winger? Sorry bub, no cigar. Then again, I guess anyone is a hardcore right winger compared to you. I'm merely an independent realist. Hell, I don't even vote, not because I don't care, but because the only people I'd ever vote for are myself, and Christopher Walken.

I know all about the Carlyle group. How it's formed by ex-presidents and other high ranking government officials. How they supposedly mold world events to suit their own political agenda and increase their stock portfolios. I especially like how they enjoy taking holiday in a California ranch where only the elite initiated are allowed to enter (no press of course!), where they revel in bestial behaviour, and even human sacrifice (supposedly).

And of course, anyone who doesn't believe that these men are the true rulers of the USA, are ignorant and blind to obvious reality.

It just cracks me up that in their video, "Eagle Strike" the Democrat anti-war supports couldn't come up with a better answer other than resorting to swear words and insults. Why you ask? What other basis are they going to stand on?

Maybe if they (democratic anti-war supporters) had a decent argument, I'd listen. Until then, they are just digging their own grave.

Left-wing socialist, yes. Nut? No that distinction lies solely with you and your ilk on the right. In fact it's been proven now (see the American Psychological Association's study, "Political Conservatism As Motivated Social Cognition").
Nor is it a conspiracy in the least. It only appears a conspiracy to those that lack the requisite knowledge, much in the same way that creationists dismiss evolution out of hand. The facts are there, they simply choose not to learn them or ignore them out of hand - keeping in form with their irrationality.
What do you actually know about the history of the Carlyle Group or most of the men that sit on the board? Probably not much at all, which is why it's you're attempting to be snide and try to transfer your ignorance on to me. I'd suggest you keep those sorts of remarks to yourself unless you understand what it is you're actually talking about. Which in this case it's fairly obvious that you don't.

Bunko, what I was trying to say was....

I dont need ANY viewpoint pushed at me. I'm watching the Superbowl, not seeking someone elses idea of social enlightenment.

If I showed up to a protest, then push away. I'm clearly interested. I think the link is just plain funny....the people who put themselves across as the most accepting folks react VERY poorly when not everyone agrees with them.

So wait... you support right-wing freedom of speech but none for the left?

Those protest warrior people are pretty funny... they call the left "racist" but if you look around on their site... they're pretty much calling the kettle black.

And if you need war to get things done, then how come Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and Mahatma Ghandi got so much done?

I'm sorry but these people and all their self-righteous blubbering gets me rather angry.
