Out of the Blue

The calendar says it's December 30, but the thermometer reads 50° Fahrenheit. Trying to correlate these contradictory facts is making me feel like the AI at the end of the Mudd's Women episode of Star Trek trying to correlate the "I am lying" lie. Bzzzt! Bzzzt!

"but I can certainly remember a few of The Dude's more entertaining moments.. Two years back, one of his posts really did cost me a $2144.00 Sony monitor.
Please...do tell me more about this!"

Sorry Enahs, but the this board doesn't let you search posts that far back, as I've just tried to find it myself:(

It was when Giants Citizen Kabuto first came out and, at the last moment, they decided to kurb the nudity for the US market. The Dude thought it foolish and said so. Someone else decided to make it a moral debate and, I think, personally aimed their response his way. When he responded, he did so with 15 or so paragraphs of well thought out, considered, fair and logical argument, none of which was really written in his own defense, except for the last few words which were something like "and anyway, you're an idiot."

Anyway... I had a mouthful of coffee which quickly spurted over much of my computer. At the shock of seeing coffee about to meet electricity, I yanked myself and all the crap on my desk backward and when my screen finally dropped that 3.5' to the floor below it ceased to be in good working order.. The only time I ever had a 21" screen:(
