Easy... Truckers are in to much of a hurry to actually stop to go whiz... so they do it in a jug and huck it out the window.

That's mostly it right there, many truckers are paid by the mile and are only allowed on the road for so many hours a day. Plus, the county that's complaining the most, Adams, is along the heavily used trucking rout between Spokane and the Tri-Cities and is 99% farmlands and sagebrush. I don't know for sure but I'd bet there isn't one rest stop in the whole county - but I could be wrong, I haven't had to go to Spokane in over 25 years.

Still, I'm sure that there's a stretch of highway exactly like it in every state - so why is it such a problem here? Perhaps it is a problem in every other state but the cleanup workers don't complain as much. Maybe Adams county has two guys riding around in a '63 International Harvester pickup which would make 2,666 jugs of urine and 67 bags of human crap a much bigger big deal.

My poor little puppy (God rest her soul)....in her long life she (a 16 lb Boston Terrier) ate:

          The little monster would also routinely finagle 2 dinners per night by claiming she had not been fed to multiple family members. She would also refuse to go to sleep (and therefore, not let US to go sleep) unless she had her nightly helping of orange juice.
          
          I'm sure there are other ghastly things she ate.....those just popped to mind first..

I'm somewhat confounded by the article pointedly ignoring the WHY of this situation. Why would someone piss in a jug to begin with then discard it on public roads? ...and why just in that area? Taking a leak on the side of a public highway isn't going to hurt the environment (it'll actually work as fertilizer for nearby vegegtation) but pissing in a plastic container and THEN discarding it IS environmentally unfriendly (if thats the motivation for this behavior). Makes no sense.
