Mafia 2 Unveiled

Computer And Video Games (thanks Frans) has a confirmation from Illusion Softworks that they are at work on a sequel to Mafia, their gangster themed action/adventure/driving game. No details other than the project's existence are provided at this time.

I hope they will make the city more interactive this time, there wasnt anything going on in it

That was my only major gripe with the game. Playing GTA and VC afterwards only strenghtened the issue. What's the point of designing an entire city when most of the time you're simply driving through it?

Oh well, I guess you can't have everything. I can't recall any game in recent memory that had such a strong storyline. One where you could really understand the underlying reasons for the actions of each character in every given situation. Although the whole bank robbery episode did seem a bit contrived, in addition to the whole love issue.
