Unwashed heathens rejoice, the retro colors option has been added to the main
news page here. The archive pages and most of the main static pages have now
likewise been updated, though the forums and a couple of other areas generated
by scripts still need to be worked on, so for now we have one retro colors
option on the new format and a retro retro colors option on the old one. I am,
of course, a monkey myself, and I have to express my extreme gratitude to Frans
who has put in a yeoman volunteer effort at getting these pages updated, and
thanks in advance, as he will be instrumental in updating the remaining pages
over the coming days.
In the meantime, an issue has been raised about font sizes after the update, and how they scale larger and smaller across different pages, so I will be looking into creating a more consistent behavior in this area.

everyone seems to be cheering for the retro look, but i gotta say that i have preferred the new blue look since it first appeared... sheesh, i can't even remember when that was??

so true.. although i think i'm all alone on this "side"... i hear tons of cheers for retro, but no one pulling for the new look. i guess i just like change... and i like to be able to think back in my mind "remember when blue's was very black and yellow looking??" it was a different time in my life...

I like the new color better as well.
But then again I am one of those people with my monitor adjusted right. So black looks black, not a warm fuzzy gray, so I can see people better in MP....LOSERS!
So the black on bright white yellow is just harsh on my eyes...ahh well

On today's homepage, some of the fonts are the "normal" size, and some are small. The headlines and quoted text in yellow are normal, but all the rest is the new teeny font (r).
