They are predicting the first insane snow storm of the season in these parts
(and winter is still over two weeks off)... I haven't yet picked up that snow
blower I've promised myself (and there's something truly embarrassing about
being part of the panicked last minute crowd at Home Depot). On the other hand I
have also succumbed to the draw of the vicodin for my dentistry (sorry about the
corresponding delay in this morning's update), and the snow blower definitely
seems to border on the sort of heavy machinery that should not be operated under the influence, so
maybe it's all for the best. Perhaps I'll make up for all this by fooling with
some light machinery instead... I wonder why they're not concerned with folks on
drugs using things like power drills?

I hate that STUPID "jump the shark" expression. I hate it. Lots. I saw the "creator" of it on TV a few months back....some jackass acutally took credit for thinking of it, and was somehow now an EXPERT on what was cool and what was past its prime. I hate the way its all *edgy cool* to use too...well...its used as if it is edgy and cool. It's just dumb.
