Gold - OMF: Battlegrounds

One Must Fall Battlegrounds has gone GOLD is the press release announcing that Diversions Entertainment's sequel to the rock-'em sock-'em robots action of One Must Fall 2097 is now complete. The vague word on availability is mid-December, and they outline an incentive they are offering for those who pre-order the game online. Here's a bit of the description of gameplay from the announcement: "One Must Fall: Battlegrounds is a pioneer of the fighting genre, offering an on-line, 3D, multiplayer fighting experience for the PC. Battlegrounds represents a serious change in the philosophy of fighting games. Instead of 2 players facing off in a small space, Battlegrounds features up to sixteen simultaneous players in huge arenas, fighting in team battles or all-out brawls! The goal is to free you, the player, from the restrictions of the past. One Must Fall allows you to fight the way you've always wanted to. Just like your favorite martial-arts movies, you can go toe-to-toe with several opponents, use nearby objects as weapons, and integrate terrain and hazards into your fighting strategy, all while piloting a giant robot."

It is just about forever, I know the engine was rewritten at least once, though I believe it was more as the game concept evolved. I've been a limited tester for as long as it's been going, and this game is alot of fun. They've ironed out so many bugs thanks to the LT that I'm amazed more developers don't do the same.

I'll finally be able to use Katana...woohoo!

I went out and got a job because of all the good games that are coming out. Damnit all, I was getting used to being a lazy college student. Oh well, at least I won't have to spend any of my money on DX:IW.
