WinDuke

JonoF's Games Site offers downloads of JonoF's Duke Nukem 3D port, a Windows version of the Build-engine shooter, for which the source code is publicly available. In addition to support play on under Windows, the port also offers preliminary internet multiplayer support via UDP. Thanks Alex Baddiley.

I'm really excited about trying this. I've successfully extracted the .CON files from the .GRP, but when the game starts up it shows the splash intro stills, and then immediately kicks to the demo ending stills and ends. I can't find anything on the website that helps with this either. Anyone have any ideas?

Awesome! I was wondering if a working Duke3D source port was ever going to see the light of day. Now if one of the OpenGL projects would get to a public release we'd be set.

Blood!
In my opinion, the greatest build engine game EVAR!

Too bad the source was never released T_T... it doesn't even run on XP.

Polygon models, color lightings, etc. I can't handle pixelized sprites. :(

Really? I tried playing Doom with the polygon models, and I thought it was horrible. I always found the anti-aliased/bilineared sprites to be a much preferable option.

I would love to see a Duke Nukem 3D port like jDoom: http://www.doomsdayhq.com/ ... Polygon models, color lightings, etc. I can't handle pixelized sprites.

Oh...my...gosh..

Greatest.

Game.

EVAR!1111111

I will have to download this and give it a whirl.

As for the missing con file, did you read the note(s) listed on the page about con files?

NOTE: You only need the .GRP file from any one of Duke3D Shareware, 1.3d or, 1.4/5 Atomic, in addition to the .EXEs from the binaries archive above. Use the included SETUP.EXE to configure the game to your liking. When first run, the game will ask if you want to extract the .CON files from the .GRP, which you should say 'yes' to.

Even colder today :(,
Ray
