That Deus Ex designer diary is talking about some fucking cool gameplay, ladies and gentlebeings. Sure, some of it is probably hyped, but if it works half as well as they say it does, it's still awesome.

Just the accurate propagation of sound makes me shiver with anticipation.
It also explains something I could never figure out in Deus Ex, why those guards inside certain buildings could ALWAYS hear me while I was outside. Sound passes through walls??? )%&#)&#%(&#%(&#% (#GBI#%G(#V %& (censored for our younger readers).
