They should have left this thing on the console it originated from!

CMR3 had a lot of things against it, like not being able to tell what your standing was in a race if you had won the previous race, not being able to tune any car but the Focus in championship mode, and a really tepid force feedback implementation (rumble effects are not force feedback effects). also, the lousy replay cameras which always seem to revert to an in-car perspective at the precise point where you want to see what happened when your car went off the road. However, the graphics and sound were stellar, and it did give you an opportunity to drive a wide range of cars. I'd really like to try out CMR4 but I haven't yet found enough excuses to buy an Xbox.

I like CMR3. Real rally racing is run one at a time against the clock, so that's not so unrealistic (although being able to race against a "ghost" opponent might be a fun arcade-like addition). There is some suckiness (you can only compete in the seasons as CMR himself in the Focus) but it's still pretty fun.

I've submitted my times via http://www.gametimesonline.com/cmr3.php?C=187&TEAM=&where=standings
, and I'm #1 in US!

I tried Colin Mcrae 3 some time ago and was surprised to find that there is no real "1 on 1" (split screen).

You can play split screen but the only thing in common between the players is the track. They do not race one against the other. Theres no competition besides the timer..

Graphics and sound were so so, nothing inovative there.

The demo installed fine but immediately after I start it, it crashes with an access violation. (running on XP) I knew I should've waited for people's comments ... looks like the game is crap anyway.

looks OK (still not Rallisport-quality), but the controls "stick". if you were turning left, and you hold down the gas, and left go of the stick, so you're not turning anymore, the car will continue to turn left until you tap ever-so-lightly the other direction. tap too much, and you're stuck turning right.

maybe they should worry about the game controlling REMOTELY well before releasing a demo. this is crap.

No wheel support?? WTF driving with keyboard is as lame as it gets. Very arcade, won't attract any serious race sim fans like this.

REAL pretty game though, lotsa flair. Helicopter, cows, people. Env maps are awesome.

Just needs wheel with FF support in the demo. Rally is all about hitting bumps and skipping around turns.
