Out of the Blue

Wristwatch phone turns your finger into an earpiece (thanks Mike Martinez) is my favorite techie story in a while, as all I can picture now is a guy walking down the street with his finger stuck in his ear while shouting 'Speak up, I can't hear you!!!" Also from the world of science is NightSky: Friday Coming Nov. 8 Second Total Lunar Eclipse of 2003, with word of a second chance for those of us rained out earlier this year. Unfortunately, the forecast is for wet weather around these parts again, but there's still hope, as the weatherman is off base far more often than once in a blue moon, much less a red one. Hey, I wonder why Mitsubishi didn't call the convertible version of their sporty car a Solar Eclipse? And the coupe with a moon roof could be the Lunar Eclipse! Oh well, if it rains maybe I'll find a dealership and ask them these burning questions.

Apropos of nothing, Blue's News is almost un-navigable now thanks to all of the pop-up ads. You often get hit with multiple ads when you bring up the site, get a pop-under when you leave and if you click on any link within the site, more pop-ups still. I even had a pop-up from emode.com telling me to enable cookies so it would work properly.

I'm using a pop-up blocker now and it helps a lot. Without it, I'm not sure I'd even bother visiting anymore.

Not a complaint, just an observation.
