DOOM3.Com is online as a teaser site for the
upcoming DOOM game in the works at id Software (thanks Frans and Gamer's
Hell). The site features a "coming soon" message that requires
Flash to ponder.

Uhhh...This is just a coming soon site, They just threw it together quickly. It is not like they ANNONUNCED the freaking site, someone just stumbled across it/was checking it every day....Good lord, analyzing a coming soon site? sheesh!

I'm sure this is going to be one of those 100+ threads of people complaining that they can't stand Doom 3, throwing it in your faces they don't like it, and completely disregarding other people's thoughts that they might actually like Doom 3 and snubbing them in the process.

well, for starters, that background sound is terrible. who are they trying to impress? i can think of no demographic that will be impressed by that sound.
oh, and a monster.... and a pentagram that's not a pentagram. what is this, eighth grade? that's not scary anymore, that's just stupid.
Well, i'm sure the game will have a fine engine, and some nice visuals, but that teaser is weak. they need a better designer.

EDIT: how could i forget the bouncy type? Certainly, bouncy orange type in an old font makes this a "cool" website. Regular type? No, this type bounces.

He can have deity status when he makes space travel affordable to the average gamer. 
Carmack should have deity status and there should be no argument otherwise. 
...that was pointless. Let's start speculating what this means in terms of release date, if this is just a cheap way to try and steal hype from other games, how HL2 will be better and fight over wether Carmack should have deity status or not.
