Foot Shuts Down Operations on Computer And Video Games (thanks Frans) has
the sad news that the U.K. developer responsible for titles such as StarTopia
and Blade 2 has closed its doors as of last Thursday, and is being liquidated.
According to the report 40 employees in two offices have lost their jobs as a
result. The story also reports on the status of the Bulletproof Monk console
game they had been working on, quoting publisher Empire as saying: "We can
assure you the game has definitely not been canned, despite the circumstances,
and is still set for release - we'll be making an announcement shortly."
Urban Chaos is the only game of theirs I've played and I remember having a lot of fun with it. Somewhat similar to GTA3 except you're a cop beating people up instead of a gangster.
