I saw the original, and I must say that the new one definitely pays homage to the old one. There is a pervading sense of hopelessness throughout the entire movie, and the tension doesn't let up, EVER. It is ridiculously messed up, and I wouldn't recommend watching it unless you are really sure you can handle it. My girlfriend couldn't!

You sure did seem to get up set about this, even though you did not even say you liked the freaking movie.

I am sorry I decided to go in-to small detail about what I did NOT like, and things I thought would have made it better(in my opinion, which I clearly stated originally). Sorry I was not being like a large percentage of everyone and saying something like
“This movie sucks” and insert profane words where you see fit.

So again I say...if you have ways to make it better, go do it yourself.

I had ideas I said that I would have liked better, I never once claimed that I my self could do better. I in fact would do A LOT worse, as I have no film making knowledge, at all.

Go find something else to get so up-set about, there are a lot more important things then someone who gave an intellectual reason for not liking a movie.

The fact that I gave specific reason, why I did not like it, and not just saying “it sucked”; That meant I knew what I did not like about it, and that I was just not “some stupid kid” passing judgment on something, he had no idea why. And you could not argue with my specific opinions, so you decided to get so up-set and attack me….Bravo *claps* nice one

I realize folks around here take great offense to having misspellings and improper word usage pointed out to them but... The word you are looking for is "were", not "where". No offense meant but please feel free to flame away anyway.

Everyone is giving their opinion about the movie(s), they liked it, disliked it etc. You started giving examples of what they should have done to change it. (this is why I thought it was clear as to whom I was responding too). But its not your movie. So if you think you can do better, then do it. Reviewing or giving your opinion of a movie is not the same thing as giving examples of what "they" did wrong and what "you" would have done to make it better.

Bottomline is, if ya didnt like a movie, say so. But giving suggestions on what "should have been done" is a moot point since the movie is already done. So again I say...if you have ways to make it better, go do it yourself.

Can we say thread derailed yet?
I think we could of said that at post #2!

Since you seem to have all the answers...put the money where your mouth is and prove it.

Where you talking to me? I am confused; this Message Board seems to always replying to the wrong subject. So sometimes it is hard to tell by the subject.

Otherwise everything you say means nothing, to no one.

Even if you where not talking to me?, but since we are all giving our opinions, about movies. None of this is scientific, just personal preference. If hearing other people’s opinions and preferences means nothing to you, why bother involving your self in a thread that is nothing but personal opinions, about something as objective as a “good” movie”?

But again I say, if you where not referring to this at all, but something else, my apologies. But since you did not quote anything, and responded after me, with the same subject line(which, this can be trick as mentioned earlier) if I am taking this as a response to my post wrong, I apologize.

My rant about 28 days.

If you are going to make people go crazy and zombie like, do not explain why, give hints and leave it a partial mystery.
Or, two, Come up with a well though out and executed idea why, not some half assed monkey that was being experimented on with something called "rage". And really, if a government agency (even the Brits government) was experimenting with something as such a stupid idea like that, that was so deadly and dangerous and contagious, I think they would have a little bit better security so that the crazy, extremist P.E.T.A. members could not brake in-to so easly.

Also, their was nothing NEW in this movie, just parts from every other zombie movie, Like someone else here said.
This is fine, if you do it in an interesting or creative or exciting way, other wise it is just blah! (this goes in-line with the Doom3 conversation game play mechanics!)

Also, The stupid part where in only 28 days (plus a few) the solider guys have gone crazy from no women, and are going to rape a 14 or so year old is a little over the top. By the looks of most of those guys, I would say some of them haven’t even gotten any in the past 28 months!

You did not need the whole “humanity created something stupid that is killing humanity off” at the start, then at the end “the evil inside man, tries to destroy what is left of humanity”…wow…the writer of that move was DEEP *cough*

28 Days Later sucked. As someone said, there was nothing original in it. Resident Evil, a popcorn flick, did everything better. I don't see what people should "get" from such a movie. A commentary on human nature? Please..

Irreversible was one hell on of a ride.

28 days was too much stolen to be a good movie; I've seen nearly every minute in another film before...
I guess the lesser zombie-/horror-films you've seen before the better it was - maybe I've just seen too much (horror-)films...

You people do realize that 28 days later looked like an amateur movie because it was, yes?

It was extremely low budget. So no flashy explosions for you.

I also liked the turbo zombies.

I thought the first half of 28 Days Later was excellent. Once they linked up the Soldiers a sense of security was established that destroyed any sense of fear. Even still, the movie was better written and produced than your average Hollywood "Horror" film.

Good List:

Night of the Living Dead - Remake
Day of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead
Return of the Living Dead I
Return of the Living Dead II
Return of the Living Dead III

For those of of you that haven't seen at least a couple of those movies or are to young *cough* I can see why you woulnd't like it.

ALso throw in a little Army Of Darkness too and evil dead.

I'll admit I didn't like Kill Bill because of all the other movies it was trying to be about. But THIS one I got. Also I was spared from the OVERHYPE machine as well.

I love old zombie movies (and a few new ones too!).

Last summer me and some friends watched:
Night of the Living Dead - Remake
Day of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead
Return of the Living Dead I
Return of the Living Dead II
Return of the Living Dead III

and a few others unworthy of mention.
They ranged quite a bit in quality, but all of them are a blast to watch and make fun of with friends.
