A post to The ION Storm Forums indicates that there is not going to be a release of a Deus Ex: Invisible War SDK for mod authors (thanks DeusExZone) when the upcoming FPS/RPG sequel is released. Here's the deal:

there are currently no plans to release the SDK. it would take a long time to get them in a stable, usable state for release, and right now we're already switching the company's focus to shipping thief 3.

I wonder what the popularity of this game is going to be like. I allways assumed that the popularity of a game was defined by it's community. Then again, there are popular console games (which don't have any tools, I mean).
But it's highly probable that they turn around and release the tools at some time anyway because of high demand (as if they hadn't expected it).
