The day I fight with walmart mouthbreathing overweight whitetrash to save ten dollars is the day I hang myself.

Bestbuy I might look into.

Hehe I was about to mention that too #12, I thought it was pretty amusing myself.

And yes it's a fairly short game... but I'll take quality over quantity any day. This game is just plain FUN!

Speaking of constipated faces, in the game if you watch all the TV shows you come across, there's one called Dick Justice. In the second "episode", near the end of the game, Dick Justice says: "I had a permanent, constipated grimace on my face. I was revenge, personified."

It's funny that Remedy is poking fun at Max's old face too.

a fucking Mod that makes the game last longer than the seven point four whole hours it took me to finish your 50 dollar game, Remedy?

I really wonder what their level designers were doing throughout those two years. Then again, maybe they only have a part-time level designer, for 2 hours a week or so?

Last time I ever believe their fucking promises...

I was looking forward to tinkering with HL2, but since its on indefinite hiatus and the MP2 engine has some really nice features, maybe I'll give this a try. Go Go Havok engine!

The ability to quick throw a grenade...

Actually Quake1 Team Fortress had that ability a long time ago, at least 6 or 7 years.

Bring on the Kung Fu!

I just started to get heavy into the game, and the thing taht amazes me the most about it is how well it has incorporated several of the new genre innovations. The ability to quick throw a grenade and melee butt with any weapon ala Halo is there, and it makes an important difference. The "in the zone" bullet time is excellent, and feels much smoother than in the first, not to mention the AWESOME "full-zone" reload animation. The dream sequences aren't nearly as annoying as the first. The only thing really missing is a sense of nonlinearity, but being a highly story-driven game I can't imaging how that would be accomplished. I hear it is short, and I feel like I'm already 1/3rd through it after only a couple hours, but this game definitely has more quality and production value per hour than the vast majority of games I've played recently.

Buy this game!
