Ford Racing 2 Demo

A demo version Ford Racing 2 is now available, offering a chance to sample the brand-specific racing in this game also known as Ford Racing Evolution. The 82 MB demo can be found on Empire Interactive.com, mirrored on Filerush.com, Gamer's Hell, and Loadedinc.com (registration required). A startlingly smaller 33 MB version that does not include both(!) DirectX installers in the original release is available on 3D Gamers, mirrored on Boomtown (registration required), GameCenter.cz, NWSGaming.Com, Pixelrage.ro, and Worthplaying.

Yea, I remember playing Viper Racing and pimping out the cars suspension to make it ride really high and it would bounce all over the place. It was pretty cool for its time.

The original got good reviews, if I remember.


Nothing beat Viper Racing, though. The visuals on the damage modeling were insane for the time, and you could launch hubcab-clad soccer balls at other cars using the cheats, which left nice round dents all over them, occasionally destroying their axles.

Quality. More games need damage modeling that makes me laugh.
