It can be pretty scary falling asleep with the TV on and waking up to realize you've been watching (at least in your sleep) infomercials. The last time I recall this happening I was being pitched to by the juiceman... the one I awakened to today was trying to introduce me to the marvelous opportunities for investment represented by uncirculated state quarters. That one is only slightly creepy, but who knows what preceded it? I might be a walking time bomb, ready to do the insidious bidding of Carlton Sheets, Tony Robbins, or Richard Simmons. Hey, did you know you can make a fortune in real estate with no money down?....

Hey, how about those Giants? You take this round Bronco. Sigh.

When I was in high school I feel asleep and happened to wake up in the middle of the night.. around 4 o'clock in the morning. My tv was on, and there was this screen up with an 800 number and the 6 easy installments price of some kind of new mattress. The unusal part is that instead of the customary blue background those screens usually have, this one was blue with purple trippy gradiants shifting around.

It was pretty wierd, and damn.. did I feel like my matress sucked in the morning.
