article on IGN (thanks Frans) offers speculation about plans for Star Wars
Knights of the Old Republic 2, saying "everything we're about to tell you
is more than likely fact" about the Star Wars RPG sequel on the Xbox
"and most likely the PC." They offer one bit of rumor from their
sources on the game's story, and go on to piece together what they believe is
the case for this game being developed by start-up Obsidian (story)
under the supervision of BioWare, who, of course, would be working at the behest
of LucasArts.
Anybody named Fear-us Urquan has to be the greatest RPG maker ever. That name just screams ROLEPLAYING. Does it not?

Fallout 1 & 2 along with Planescape: Torment rank as the 3 best modern CRPG's that have ever been made IMHO.

So Feargus Urqhart and Chris Avellone are nobodies (Fallout 1 and 2, Planescape: Torment)? Given that they have made far better games than anything Bioware has ever dreamed of doing I'd hardly call them "nobodies".
Yes, I thought about that the second I posted. The origian two or three xwing spacesim games were way cool.. expecially over LAN gaming.
actually... Kotor on Xbox had some quite SEVERE bugs. Some were game crippling for MANY people. Some people couldn't game the game to start. Also if you chose certain character combinations in the game, the game would freeze at the end of the game, not allowing you to continue! The game was one of the buggiest Xbox games so far. Morrowind for Xbox was pretty buggy too. PC releases can be patched better.

I have not played it in a while, but I don't ever remember having any problems with it, whatsoever. If you're worried about bugs, I would stick with a console over a PC any day of the week.

Ahhhh, another KOTOR. That is great news if it comes through.
I think it's pretty standard to assume EP1 and II were garbage... because they were. HORRIBLE films. Horrible.
They weren't anywhere close to the originals, I'll say that...2 was a step back in the right direction, but still miles away from the originals.
Maybe 3 will finally get it right...but I doubt it.
Kudos to Derek for stopping by...now can you tell us it WILL ship by the end of the year?

Me too. I haven't played the game since then, but hope I can load an earlier save file
I usually hate the D&D level system and any sci-fi/movie game. But I really liked Kotor. One of the best games I have ever played.

I know some of the choices are limiting and alot of the time it doesn't matter if you pick good/bad, But they do manage to keep the game fun and the story interesting. I got bored of the story in Morrowind because there was no need to do the main quest. Instead I kept getting hundreds of quests that all made the main story seem less important/memorable.
