A new official U.S. demo for Beyond Good & Evil is now available, offering a
another sample of Ubisoft's action adventure game with further optimizations
than the European version released last week (story). The
download is now up to 156 MB, available on 3D

and Worthplaying.
Don't worry, it doesn't run for the majority of my LAN party players either. I suspect that it simply doesn't work under WinXP because the readme states that the preferred OS is Win2k, but I no longer have a non-WinXP machine that isn't a server.
You know the developer knows that the demo is majorly borked. They added a refresh rate slider in the settings dialog to correct all the 'Refresh Rate Out Of Range' problems the nVidia users were having. Oh well, they just lost about 50 sales.
