Young’s Squad Assault West Front Goes Gold is the press release announcing
that the World War II strategy game has gone gold, and should be in stores on
October 20. Word is: "In Squad Assault: West Front, you command troops in
both the Allied and German Armies of the Western Front of World War II in an
fully immersive 3-D continuous time environment. Squad Assault: West Front
features detailed models for all the major armies that fought in France in 1944,
including American, German, British, Canadian, and Free French."

Had this game a week now. Its great. I haven't played a strategy game around the clock for a long time now, until I got this. Granted the learning curve may be a little steep for you sk8er bois. The animations of each indidual soldier is fantastic, the AI is good. Beats me from time to time. The play balance and weapon data seems about right. No this is a really good game. Your loss.
Yeah, and even that isn't saying much, considering how unbelievably terrible G.I. Combat was.
Oh well, at least Strategy First, their old publisher, won’t be the fall guy this time when squad ASSault hits the shelves to overwhelmingly negative reviews. lol
BTW, I love how big Eric Young's ego is, in regards to putting his name in the title. This hobo should eat a bit of humble pie in my opinion. When was the last time anyone saw "Will Wright's : The sims"?

I guess Freedom Games is a one trick pony. They've been rehashing the same game (in one form or another) since the first Close Combat. Squad Assault = G.I. Combat version 2.
