Out of the Blue

This morning I found what appeared to be a floating insect corpse in Hudson the wonder dog's drinking water. I showed it to MrsBlue and we couldn't determine if the little balled up thing was a tick or not, but suitably grossed out decided the toilet was the only place to dispose of it. As soon as it hit the water, however, this thing unfolded, revealing itself to be a spider, who started to run around the bottom of the toilet. I shouted something in horror and MrsBlue asked if she should just flush it, but I decided I felt bad enough about this to go for the rescue. I managed to fish the little bugger out of there and set him free. I know that's a bit more than most would do for a spider, but I have a lifelong soft spot for arachnids (I think my childhood affection for Spider-Man is responsible), and I can't even figure out how he survived the water as long as he did, so I certainly think he had gone through enough already.

Maybe I'll post a sign by the water dish announcing the hours a lifeguard is on duty.

Y'all are missing the point... I'll use bullets to help make it more obvious:
  • Many men get vasectomies.
  • These are generally permanent.
  • Some men may want the same effect (i.e control over their fertility or lack thereof) without the permanent aspect of it.
  • These men will pay for this product, should it be developed.

Voila! There you have it. Considering how much this sort of research costs, chances are that the company involved has done the marketing research and arrived at the same conclusions.
