Continuing my saga since the OotB thread is about to drop off the radar.
I am not even to the Library level yet and already I'm totally sick of the indoor parts (My mission now is to shut down some generators - I can never remember the chapter names). They couldn't come up with more interesting levels than this? I can really see where the comparisons to Serious Sam (I finished both SS1 and SS:SE) come into play. Also I can see where people question why it took 2 years to bring this game out. Did all these game reviewers even play through the damn game before rating it? The outdoor levels are fine, the indoor levels really bring the game down with the constant monotonous repetition in the architecture and throwing enemies at you. And there seem to be a LOT of indoor levels (enemy ship, halo control, etc.) It's bad enough you have to go through them in one direction, but then you have to backtrack... ugh. I suppose it could be worse, there could be a shitload of jumping puzzles...

I so hope you don't get transported to Xen for the game's finale...
This is a 70-75% game at best and not deserving of the hype. And I cannot imagine playing this with an Xbox controller.
For those having troubles, I recommend 800x600, shut off specular, shadowing and decals, and use the 30 fps lock as I am having no slowdowns and the game runs like butter. My drivers are pretty old (Detonator 43.45) though, but it's way smoother than trying to play at 1024x768 with all the details up.
