I would like to see what everyone gets in the timedemo.
Just ad -timedemo to the exe file and run it. It will run a few maps and then shut down. In the Halo folder there will be a timedemo.txt where the results are.
Like this:
Date / Time: 2003-10-02 01:10:39 (16915500ms)
3200MHz, 1024MB, 256M nVidia GeForceFX 5900 Ultra (DeviceID=0x0330) Driver=6.14.10.4523 Shader=2.0
G:\Games\Halo\halo.exe -window -timedemo (Version=1.0.0.564)
Frames=4700
Total Time=179.19s
Average frame rate=26.23fps
Below 5fps= 10% (time) 0% (frames) (18.004s spent in 14 frames)
Below 10fps= 16% (time) 2% (frames)
Below 15fps= 24% (time) 5% (frames)
Below 20fps= 38% (time) 15% (frames)
Below 25fps= 42% (time) 18% (frames)
Below 30fps= 65% (time) 42% (frames)
Below 40fps= 83% (time) 65% (frames)
Below 50fps= 89% (time) 76% (frames)
Below 60fps= 95% (time) 87% (frames)
Memory used Max=162MB, Min=130MB, Ave=150MB
Now I think that i got a pretty good computer, and my fx 5900 ultra is also överklocked to 519/938.
So why do i get 26 fps?! Believe me that people arent getting alot better then this. I ran it in 1024x768 with all gfx on highest.
Edit: yeah I ran it in widown but it's no different from fullscreen. I tried it, same result...
